Most of these were gleaned from this lengthy VT Digger article. Vtdigger.org/2023/12/18/in-vermont-schools-conservative-legal-groups-have-become-a-potent-force/.

In 2020, a South Hero family, the Hesters, joined the Vermont Roman Catholic Diocese in a lawsuit against the state of Vermont.
In early June, Alliance Defending freedom won their case on behalf of the Allen family when the Randolph school administration made life challenging for all the girls volleyball team when a trans student google eyed them as they changed. In a November 18, letter to the Mill River board, Liberty Counsel attorney Richard Mast raised the possibility of litigation over the district’s flag policy, where the BLM flag still flies.
Mast was also involved with Vergennes Union High School featuring Walt Heyer, an activist who spent eight years as a trans woman before detransitioning and now advocates against gender-affirming care.
In July, the Alliance Defending Freedom sued the Windsor Central Supervisory Union on behalf of David Bloch, a “practicing Roman Catholic” snowboarding coach who alleged that he was fired after expressing that “males and females have different DNA” and that “biological differences generally give males competitive advantages in athletic events,” according to the lawsuit. That case is ongoing.

Since the beginning of this school year the students were being treated like they were in daycare. There was little if any attempts to engage with textbooks.

The Foundation Against Intolerance and Racism (FAIR) has engaged with almost 200 Vermonters. It is developing a curriculum that will expose students to the histories, experiences, struggles, accomplishments, and contributions of Americans of diverse backgrounds. The FAIRstory Curriculum is a fact-based approach to teaching students about racism; it’s honest about the failures and shortcomings of our American past and present while recognizing how the struggles and accomplishments of Americans continue to move us closer to our ideals. Students learn to counter racism and intolerance with humanity and compassion.
The FAIRstory Curriculum can support either the creation of new stand-alone ethnic studies courses or as material to orient an existing history or civics course towards ethnic studies. Extension activities and culminating projects are also available for many lesson plans, allowing for deeper and more focused learning.
FAIR developed its curriculum to empower students to confront racism and bigotry, which depend on a dehumanizing emphasis on racial difference. In contrast to a triumphal history that celebrates America or a cynical curriculum that denies progress, FAIR presents an honest account of the past and present, teaching students to think for themselves by engaging deeply with original sources, multiple perspectives, and opposing viewpoints on important events. Click here for the series of 12 videos.

There is Urgency in the Hour
Below is a downloadable file - Should Parents Have Rights in Sex Education? There was a huge national training event for teachers in December. Teachers are being trained to think that the schools and government know what is in the best interests for our children. Will parents or the government have the final say in what they are being taught?

Why is this happening? How did this evolve?
This short answer is very simplistic. In 1963, the communist's 45 Goals for America was published into our Congressional records. There has been a very well organized, quiet subversion occurring in our country starting even before then to meet these goals. The US agreed it would be a good cultural exchange to learn about Chinese ways and paid for 50 schools to train our brightest and best in their ways. These became implanted leaders in our Ivy League and the "West Coast Ivy League" schools. They have been the trainers of in our collegiate educational system that have turned our young minds to embrace the changes that have been eroding our time honored foundations. They have been very effective. Now they are strong enough to flex their muscle and want to take over training our young children.

Largely for younger audiences, with some foul language occasionally used, Karlyn Borysenko speaks to this in her Actively Unwoke series. The concerns that have evolved in this wake have been well reported on by Vermont's Rob Roper.
